Installing Video Manager on a blank floppy
The first step is to format a blank disk ready for Video Manager
and the record of your video collection. To do this, load your Workbench
disk, open a Shell by double clicking on its icon, then type
FORMAT DRIVE DF0: NAME VIDEOMANAGER
The Amiga will ask you to insert the disk to be formatted, so eject your
Workbench disk, put a fresh floppy in the internal drive and press the
Return key.
Once the format is complete, replace your Workbench disk in the
drive and type the following commands one after the other:
MAKEDIR VIDEOMANAGER:VMS
COPY ASI-VIDEO-UTILS:VMS/VIDEOS TO VIDEOMANAGER:VMS
COPY ASI-VIDEO-UTILS:VIDEOMANAGER/VIDEOMANAGER/#? TO VIDEOMANAGER:
INSTALL VIDEOMANAGER:
You'll have to suffer a bit of disk swapping to and fro unless you have
an external floppy, but once the operation is complete you should have
an autobooting video database disk. Hope you find it useful.
